The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near the beginning; and it is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reach my goal. Failure I may still encounter at the thousandth step, yet success hides behind the next bend in the road. Never will I know how close it lies unless I turn the corner.
Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult.
I will persist until I succeed. (Og Mandino)
On November 17, 2011, Got Mold? experienced a minor set back in our marketing efforts. Facebook shut down the Got Mold? Fan Page that we had invested so much time and energy into building. At the time, we had 1944 fans and it was growing on a daily basis; we spent 1000s of dollars on a social media marketing campaign, driven extensively by ads we placed on Facebook.
Despite this set back and many attempts to resolve this issue with Facebook through letter writing campaigns and direct appeals to the founder, Mark Zuckerberg, our fan page was not re-instated. This was a fairly stressful period, I remember I was up until 6 am because I was trying to figure out a way to solve this issue.
The founder of Got Mold?, James C. Watson, and I discussed this problem and realized that it may take some time to get this issue resolved. We decided that the best solution was to implement the Got Mold? Disaster Recovery Services, Inc. (Canada) Fan Page.
Our motto is to Persist Until We Succeed, meaning we will not let minor set backs stand in the way of building our dream.
On January 4th, to our surprise, the Got Mold? Fan Page was re-instated by Facebook, with a restriction that this page could not be accessed by residents in the United States. We are grateful to Facebook for this New Years gift and have started our advertising campaign with them again. The Got Mold? Fan Base is growing by leaps and bounds.
One of our missions is to educate the public about mold and the health consequences. We have written many articles and will continue to. Since the Got Mold? Fan Page is not visible to our friends in the United States, we will continue to update the Got Mold? Disaster Recovery Services, Inc. (Canada) Fan Page.
Got Mold? is grateful to all of our loyal supporters. In 2012, we plan to expand the reach of our business in Canada through our franchise program. We anticipate that our social media marketing efforts will prove very beneficial to new franchisees that join our team.

I have held various positions with the company, starting primarily with business development and marketing. Today, I still manage the marketing responsibilities, but have also assumed the position as CFO overseeing the financial management as well. Though the company is based in Saskatoon, SK, Canada, I work out of my home in Kingston, ON, Canada and commute often to Saskatoon to meet with other members of the Management Team.
