Mold Emerges As Problem From Flooding
Residents of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, and other provinces that experienced flooding this past year are now dealing with another problem, mold.
Mold is one of the problems caused by flooding because water is one of the key ingredients mold needs to grow. Other key ingredients for mold growth are the right temperature of 5 degrees to 38 degrees and of course food, such as paper, wood, drywall, wallpaper, carpet, ceiling tiles, dust, and dirt.
The video below tells the story of one family in rural Manitoba whose home is now infested with mold. One of the direct consequences of this mold is the negative impact it has on health.

Mold is a growing concern. Got Mold? is here to help, call us if you have any questions or need assistance. In addition, contact your provincial government to find out if they offer any disaster assistance relief–use these links to visit the programs offered by the governments of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
