Wanted: Saskatchewan Entrepreneurs!
Wanted: Saskatchewan Entrepreneurs!
Got Mold?’s Founder and President, James C. Watson, thinks that mold remediation and asbestos abatement is a growing business in Saskatchewan and will continue to thrive.
No one wants to find asbestos, mold or flood water in their basement or anywhere else in their building. All three are unwanted, unloved and candidates for prompt removal. But how to do it safely and efficiently?
That’s where Got Mold? comes in. The company specializes in helping people recover their property from disaster, using industry-standard methods and an eight-step process. “We are a high risk industry,” says Watson, which means the emphasis is on safety and security for everyone involved.
The market for our services continues to grow and we need franchise partners throughout Saskatchewan to effectively service this demand. “Our target market is the average Joe,” he says. “We do a lot of residential work.” “Unlike most of our competitors, we work for our customers and not the insurance companies. For this reason, we are always focused on what is the best for the home owner!”
To effectively service Saskatchewan’s market demand we need a minimum of four franchise partners. The cost of the franchise is based on the population of the area. Also, instead of collecting royalties based on a sales percentage, Got Mold? charges franchisees a flat monthly fee. Training takes 30 days, and Watson is looking for entrepreneurial types with the right kind of financial backing and, preferably, some background in construction, “although we could bring anyone on.”
Watson has invested millions into the marketing, equipment, and brand development of Got Mold? and believes that the lucky four candidates in Saskatchewan that partner with him will benefit greatly from his experience, the training, the “Success System”, and the strong branding and market presence already built in Saskatchewan. Most importantly, Got Mold? has many leads that continue to pour in that Watson would love to pass on to the franchise partners that join him.

I have held various positions with the company, starting primarily with business development and marketing. Today, I still manage the marketing responsibilities, but have also assumed the position as CFO overseeing the financial management as well. Though the company is based in Saskatoon, SK, Canada, I work out of my home in Kingston, ON, Canada and commute often to Saskatoon to meet with other members of the Management Team.
