Calgary, Alberta is facing a state of emergency as over 100,000 people may need to be evacuated. It is projected that this will be one of the worst floods since 2005.

Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi is urging residents affected by flooding evacuation orders to “gather your valuables and go,” while telling the city as a whole to avoid all non-essential travel on Friday.
The evacuation orders cover the communities of Beltline, Bonnybrook, Bowness, Bridgeland Industrial Area, Chinatown, Eau Claire, Cliff Bungalow, Deer Run, Discovery Ridge, Downtown, East Village, Elbow Park, Erlton, Inglewood, Hillhurst, Mission, Montgomery, Quarry Park, Rideau, Riverbend, Riverdale, Roxboro, Stanley Park, Elboya, Sunnyside, Victoria Park, Westmount and Windsor Park.
Other parts of Alberta have been affected, including Canmore and High River, where local state of emergencies have been declared.
In order to assist Calgarians, our founder and President, James C. Watson, is busy getting a trailer full of air movers and dehumidifiers that will be sent to Calgary. He anticipates that disaster recovery companies will face many calls for assistance and wants to help out.
