MS is a disease in which the fatty myelin sheaths around the axons of the brain and spinal cord are damaged. This demyelination affects the ability of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to communicate with each other. The following neurological symptoms result from this:
loss of balance and coordination
Interestingly, long term exposure to toxic molds like Stachybotrys and Chaetomium cause similar problems.
Does mold actually cause multiple sclerosis?
As of yet, there is no definitive answer of what causes MS.
However, according to David Holland, MD, there is a strong link between mycotoxins–chemicals made by mold–and MS.
