GROWING OUR COMMUNITY

Indigenous Training

Our goal is simple: educate to eradicate. We developed the Indigenous Training Program in response to an increased awareness of unhealthy indoor air quality directly related to mold contamination in Indigenous communities.

Opportunities & Career Growth

We offer the Indigenous Training Program all across Canada. The program starts with 3 classroom days, followed by 5-7 days of hands-on inspection experience in the students’ own communities. Our boot-camp-style training course allows members to get experience and gain familiarity with procedures before attempting costly certification exams*. With ongoing mentorship through regular visits (and on-call video support as needed), our program provides a unique, interactive opportunity to learn.

At got mold?™, we train, certify and even hire members of Indigenous communities who want to work in mold and asbestos abatement in their own – and in other First Nations – communities. When completing our Indigenous Training Program, graduates are not only eligible for employment within (and by) their own communities, but also by us, and other restoration companies. got mold?™ prides itself on offering fair living wages, providing accommodation and offering an LOA (Living Out Allowance). We are proud of and committed to building long-term careers in remediation, inspection and rebuilding for members of First Nations communities.
