Environmental Inspector

Your Next Career Might Take You Places You Never Expected.

Position: Environmental Inspector

What if your next career wasn't about sitting behind a desk, but about getting out into communities and making a measurable difference in people's lives?

At got mold?™, we're looking for someone who wants more than just another job.

We're looking for someone who's curious, motivated, technically minded, and ready to build a career in the growing field of indoor air quality and environmental inspections.

Someone who likes the open road. Someone who enjoys solving problems. Someone who takes pride in doing things right.

And most importantly, someone who understands that the work we do matters.

Healthy Homes. Healthier People. A Career with Purpose.

For years, got mold?™ has been helping property owners and communities identify and resolve hidden environmental hazards in their buildings.

We investigate the things people often cannot see, including mold contamination, asbestos-containing materials, radon gas, water damage and other conditions that can affect the health and safety of indoor environments.

Our work takes us into homes, businesses, remote communities and First Nations across Western Canada.

We're expanding our Saskatchewan inspection services and looking for the right person to help us serve communities throughout the province.

You don't need to arrive knowing everything about indoor air quality. We're prepared to train the right person in our methods and procedures.

What you do need is the right attitude, strong judgment, a willingness to learn and the ability to work independently.

This Is Not Your Typical 9-to-5 Office Job!

One day, you could be investigating hidden moisture and mold inside a family home in Saskatoon.

The next, you might be travelling to a First Nation community to help assess housing conditions.

Another day, you could be collecting air samples, identifying potential asbestos-containing materials or investigating an indoor environmental concern in a commercial building.

You'll use specialized equipment, collect environmental samples, document your findings and help our technical team understand what's happening inside the buildings we assess.

No two days will be exactly alike.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct indoor air quality and mold inspections in residential, commercial and community buildings.

• Collect mold, asbestos and other environmental samples using established protocols.

• Investigate moisture intrusion, water damage and conditions contributing to unhealthy indoor environments.

• Perform visual assessments, moisture measurements and detailed photographic documentation.

• Use modern inspection equipment and digital reporting technology.

• Prepare accurate field records and contribute to professional assessment reports.

• Travel throughout Saskatchewan, including rural, northern and First Nations communities.

• Work closely with experienced inspectors, project managers and other technical professionals.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in who you are and what you're capable of becoming, not simply what's written on your resume.

Our ideal candidate:

• Enjoys travelling and discovering new places.

• Is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for their work.

• Has strong attention to detail and enjoys investigating problems.

• Communicates professionally and respectfully with homeowners, clients and community representatives.

• Is comfortable using technology and learning new equipment.

• Is physically capable of performing building inspections, including working in basements, crawlspaces and other building environments.

• Has a valid driver's licence and a safe driving record.

• Is willing to travel regularly throughout Saskatchewan, including overnight assignments.

• Is coachable, dependable and committed to doing quality work.

Experience in environmental science, construction, building inspections, restoration, occupational health and safety or a related technical field would be an asset.

No previous mold inspection experience is required for the right candidate.

What We Offer

A career, not just a position.

• A company vehicle for authorized business travel.

• Company-paid work-related travel expenses, including accommodations and meals.

• Hands-on training with experienced environmental inspectors.

• Opportunities for professional certifications and technical development.

• Specialized inspection and sampling equipment.

• A diverse work environment that combines fieldwork, technology and problem-solving.

• Opportunities to develop additional skills in mold, asbestos, radon, moisture investigation and environmental assessment.

• The opportunity to contribute directly to healthier homes and communities.

• A growing company where initiative, accountability and professional development matter.

The Work We Do Has A Bigger Purpose.

At got mold?™, our mission is to Find & Fix Sources of Unhealthy Indoor Air.

A significant part of our work involves helping First Nations and other communities identify housing conditions that can affect the health and well-being of families.

We believe everyone deserves a healthy place to live. We also believe the right people, equipped with the right training and technology, can make a meaningful difference.

If that sounds like work worth doing, we'd like to meet you.
